HIGHLIGHTS OF THE BREWING PROCESS

Example of German-inspired pilsen beer. Bottom fermentation (lager), with an ageing period to allow the flavours to develop and filtering to leave it with a brilliant appearance. Traditional brewing with state-of-the-art techniques

RAW MATERIALS

Malt Careful selection of barley varieties and control of the malting process. Pilsen malt, with a very slight toast, that provides the colour and cereal aromas. The proportion of malt and cereal increases in MH Clásica, which is why its extract and alcohol is somewhat higher, and it has more body.
Hops Combination of European bitter and semi-aromatic hops varieties that lend the elegant bitterness and delicate herbal and floral aromas, characteristic of Mahou.
Yeast The fruity aromas, reminiscent of bananas and apples, are due to the yeast used.
Water Like that in Madrid, with a level of mineral salts optimised to extract and enhance the aromas and flavours of all the raw materials.

TASTING NOTE

Appearance Glossy appearance, golden colour and firm, creamy foam.
Taste The aroma is slightly fruity and fresh, of banana and apple, with a certain dry fragrance and a touch of yeast. It also exudes floral notes of hop while drinking. Strong and consistent on the palate, very well-balanced with a moderate bitterness and slight acidity.

SERVING

Stemmed Pokal glass Straight, tall glass, similar to a Pilsner glass. It enables the visualisation of the beer’s colour and gloss, the short stem adds stability to the glass, while allowing it to be held without warming the beer. It allows the head to form at the top and a fine perception of aromas when drinking.
Serving temperature : 4º - 6º
