Isco becomes the new face of Mahou

  • The footballer from Malaga will be the star of the brand’s next advert, in which it will announce a digital campaign developed together with Real Madrid and conceived by and for football lovers

 

IscoMadrid, 4 February 2014 – The footballer Francisco Román Alarcón (Isco) has become the new face of Mahou Cinco Estrellas. The Real Madrid player and the brewing company have signed a contract for the next two years to collaborate on various projects and promotional initiatives.

“We are delighted to be able to have a figure such as Isco, a footballer with a great desire for self-improvement who has reached his pinnacle due to talent and hard work,” says César Hernández, Marketing Director of Mahou San Miguel. “He fits in perfectly with the brand and its values, not only because of the quality of his football, but also because of the humility that he shows on the pitch and his great team spirit,” he adds.

The midfielder joins Iker Casillas as the face of the brand and the Madrid goalkeeper has already given him some advice. “Just to be myself, to be natural just like an authentic Mahou,” laughs the Malaga born footballer.

By and for football lovers

The brand’s new “signing” will be the star of its next advert, in which it will launch a digital campaign conceived by and for football lovers and developed jointly with Real Madrid. “We are shooting a TV ad on a game which will thrill Real Madrid supporters and that’s all I can say,” says Isco.

Filming has taken place at the bar “Revoltosa” in Madrid, and will be broadcast over the course of this month on digital media. Fans will have to keep an eye on Mahou’s Facebook and Twitter pages to see its premiere.
