Iker CasillasMadrid, October 15, 2014. Sipping a Mahou Cinco Estrellas while enjoying your team's football match is now possible at the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport. Mahou San Miguel and Areas have opened two Sports Bar outlets, perfectly combining sport and cuisine.

Iker Casillas officially inaugurated these outlets with an event at the Sports Bar in the boarding area of Terminal 2. He was accompanied by Fernando Sánchez Areas Airport Director for Spain and Portugal and Fernando Bustamante, Mahou San Miguel Food & Beverage Key Accounts Director. The Real Madrid goalkeeper walked around the 400 m2 restaurant and encouraged all travelers to stop by and enjoy their passion for football. "It will be a 'must-see' for airport travelers," he said. "I'd come to the Sports Bar with Isco and Carvajal!" Referring to Isco's first year with Real Madrid, he noted that "it's been great, and he's a lot of fun".

Iker also answered questions about the Spanish football team. "My idea is to stay on the national team for as long as possible. I'm not immortal, and you have to know when to step down, but I still see myself going strong". And regarding his current status in Real Madrid he stated: "I don't think I've been treated unfairly. You have to respond to criticism by playing . I feel great support from the fans. The fans rule, and they are free to express themselves as they wish. My responsibility is to train well".

The two Sports Bars, located air-side in Terminal 2 and land-side in Terminal 3, underscore Mahou Cinco Estrellas' support for Madrid football teams and their fans. In both venues, travelers and tourists will be able to follow any sports match in an ideal setting while enjoying great cuisine.

The themed premises showcase trophies that will amaze sport and beer lovers, such as shirts and footballs signed by the best players in Madrid teams and commemorative or special-edition bottles of Mahou Cinco Estrellas. As of today, the collection also features gloves signed by Real Madrid captain and Mahou fan, Iker Casillas.

These venue openings underscore the close link between Mahou and the football world. The beer company wants to share this passion by offering experiences that strengthen people's connection with the brand and their favorite sport.

Areas and Mahou San Miguel

The launch of the two Sports Bars falls under the strategic agreement reached by Areas and Mahou San Miguel, through its flagship brand Mahou Cinco Estrellas. Both companies have launched various outlets designed specifically for the airport environment, with the goal of improving services to travelers by offering high-quality, unique experiences.

Mahoudrid, the first Areas/Mahou San Miguel collaboration, opened last June. The outlet welcomes travelers to the city at the arrivals area of the T4. It is designed to provide travelers with varied cuisine while they catch up with the latest information on the city's cultural and leisure scene from the moment they land. Two other "Mahoudrid" outlets have been added, located in the T1 and T2 respectively.

With this initiative, the beer company once again demonstrates its commitment to Madrid's tourism and leisure industry through its flagship brand Mahou Cinco Estrellas.
